God,
I don’t pray much
But I’m praying now
Even if it’s just in typed words

God,
I’m worried
Please give me the knowledge to guide her
Please give me the strength to help her
I need the strength to keep her safe

God,
I’ve been a good person
I’ve tried my best to do what’s right

God,
Please take care of her
Give her the shelter she needs
Please, God
Watch over her
Watch over me
I’ve been so scared
Please take care of us
I know You exist, surely You must love us
Don’t let anything happen
We’ve both been hurt so many times before
Please don’t let it happen again

God,
If You love me
If You love her,
Comfort us with Your hands
Guide us with Your hands
These are troubled times for us
God,
